Sanitas La Zarzuela and La Moraleja obtain the Joint Commission International accreditation, considered the gold standard in global hospital care.

Sanitas Hospitals has obtained the Joint Commission International accreditation for its Sanitas La Zarzuela and Sanitas La Moraleja centres, both located in Madrid. This positions Sanitas as the leading hospital group, boasting 2 hospitals with this accreditation.

For over two years these hospitals have been subject to a rigorous assessment of 1,200 hospital criteria on their standards of quality in terms of care and safety of patients. This accreditation is one of the most prestigious at global level as it is considered the gold standard in hospital care. The assessors who have worked with Sanitas Hospitals in this process have highlighted that "above all, it is noted that Sanitas Hospitals is an organisation that approaches challenges with excitement and a yearning for more. Furthermore, its centres stand out due to their 100% teamwork".

The Joint Commission International was founded in 1914 and operates in over 90 ries. This organisation is responsible for measuring, identifying and sharing the best practices at global level relating to care quality and patient safety. The experts who form part of this body work with hospitals and other healthcare organisations across the world to achieve the best performance in patient care and in the services that medical centres offer them.
